If there is one question I get to asked myself during summer it has to be the same question asked by my friends “where to go this summer?”.  Every summer I wish I could go somewhere near the beach preferably a beach with white powdery sand. Money is always a hindrance why I always end up just wishing and planning. I may have done something good last year since the fairy godmother granted my wish this time. Well, its not really the fairy godmother (I am overacting) but my boyfriend.

It happened last May 20-21 2017. The boyfriend made sure that it will be one of the trip I will treasure for the rest of my life. I was surprised when he asked me to make a budget for four person. At first I could contain my happiness knowing that my son, Mom and nephew is going with me. Less than a month before the planned trip I was asking Mr Google where to go. A resort with white sand beach is on top of my list. For some reason Boracay was not in my list as of that moment. My search landed me to some beach resort in Bantayan Island. After checking from one resort to another and reading reviews from those who visited the resort I choose Anika Island Resort. Well, there actually few things that made me decide to booked Anika Island Resort. Aside from the positive reviews about the resort is that they have a menu list posted on their website which is a plus for me because I can actually make our budget before we go on our trip. Of course I do not want to run out of money and starve while we are on trip. Hahahahaha…

The boyfriend booked Anika’s Sunrise View Villa for Php3,300 good for 3 person and Garden View Villa for Php 2,500 good for 2 person for two days and one night via Agoda. Extra matress is available for Php500 per night. I, my son and my son’s aunt stayed in Sunrise View Villa while my Mom and nephew stayed in the Garden View Villa with my cousin and nephew. We requested an extra matress for my cousin.

Twas passed one o’clock in the afternoon when we arrived. The sun was shinning brightly that I feel like jumping in the pool as soon as we stepped out from the resort van. By the way we were picked up by the resort service which was good because we traveled comfortably going to the resort although it is only a few kilometer away from the pier. A welcome drink was serve as soon as we arrive and after checking in we decided to ate our late lunch. After taking a short rest we roamed around the resort and I figured the imagines I saw online was not photoshopped. The picturesque view of the sea touching the blue sky is magistic. How I wished we stayed longer so we can visit other resorts.

No doubt our trip to Bantayan will remain in our mind forever. I would also say that our stay in Anika Island Resort was fantastic. The four hours trip is worth it. The Villas are just few meters away from the powdery white sandy beachfront. The rooms are well maintained and the staff are accommodating and courteous. They are easy to approached. The food are great and considering the resort is located in an island they offer affordable prices for all the foods, drinks and snacks.  I wished I didn’t change my mind and stayed for 2 nights instead of 1 night only. But then again it was an unforgettable experience.

If given a chance I will surely visit the place again and I will certainly stay longer. Hopefully I will be with the boyfriend when it happens.

  1. Now I understand what some of my blogger friends are telling me. This is sad. I hope photobucket will find a way for this.
